LG have confirmed earlier that they did not intend to present the successor to the Nexus 5X. In other words, Google had to find another partner in producing their Nexus phone. HTC seems to be the right partner for Google because the previous HTC also had to make a Nexus device.
Apparently, associated with the next Nexus phone HTC is rumored that the next Nexus device manufactured by HTC will support pressure sensitive features such as 3D Touch in the iPhone 6s.
HTC itself has so far launched several Nexus devices ie Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 9. While in 2015 and then Google took Huawei and LG in producing Nexus smartphone, namely 6P and 5X.
