Google finally added a new feature that is most awaited by users. This new feature was announced on Tuesday (10/11/2015) and is a offline navigation is now available in Google Maps for Android that supports offline search and navigation in Google Maps. For now, the offline navigation is only available on Android alone, but in the near future will also be available in the iOS version of Google Maps.
Offline navigation feature in Google Maps works by asking the user to download and store maps of an area to be accessed offline. However, Google Maps will also update these maps once every 15 days when the phone is connected to the charger and Wi-Fi. In this way, the maps are stored user will be kept up-to-date even if accessed offline.
Still, access offline navigation is not as good as Google Maps navigation online rank rating, phone number and photos also review will not be displayed on the navigation offline unless you access it online. We also can not access Google Maps in satellite mode including the direction of public transport.
