HERE Maps Will Stop Supporting Windows 10 - HERE Maps development team has decided to give up developing a mapping application for Windows 10.

There is bad news for those of you who use a Windows-based phones and plans to upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile. HERE Maps development team recently announced that they would stop support for the Windows 10. It means, once you update to Windows 10, you will no longer be able to use this application.

HERE Maps spokesman, Pino Bonetti explained that HERE Maps application that is currently made compatible with Windows 10 using a solution that is no longer effective after June 30.

To be able to make HERE Maps remain compatible with Windows 10, the development team had to rebuild these applications from scratch. It was felt heavily by a team of developers and they finally decided to stop supporting this platform.

To that end, the development team will remove HERE Maps on Windows 10 Store on March 29. The team also recommends that Windows users to use Windows application Maps as an alternative.

Even so, for those of you who are still using Windows Phone 8, HERE Maps can still be used on your phone. However, development is restricted. The development team HERE Maps will not add new features, but rather focuses on bug fixes deemed critical.
