Analyst: MediaTek Will Use PowerVR Graphics For Helio X30 - According to an analyst from China, the upcoming X30 chipset Helio Helio X30 will use the GPU.

Helio X30 will be the next high-end chipset from MediaTek after Helio X20. However, this chipset has one thing that makes it still lagged compared with Qualcomm's Snapdragon, the GPU.

So far MediaTek still uses his Mali as the GPU chipset, while the Snapdragon is already using GPU Adreno. However this may be fixed in the upcoming X30 Helio with PowerVR GPU will be drilled into the chipset, according to an analyst note from China, Pan Jiutang.

Unfortunately, it is not clear where the GPU models that will be used by MediaTek to Helio X30. At least from the reports we've been hearing, Helio X30 will still use deca-core architecture with the production using 16nm process.
