MediaTek Denies Overheating Issues in Helio X20 - MediaTek has just clarified about the issue of overheating in the chipset hers, Helio X20.

Previously reported that MediaTek chipset, X20 Helio overheating. Although it has not been clarified by the MediaTek, but many users would worry about when buying a mobile phone that uses the chipset, the same thing happened in Snapdragon 810.

However, MediaTek has just commented on this rumor through its official Weibo page. The company said that the issue of overheating in Helio X20 need not be feared. MediaTek explained, occurs when the temperature increases, the chipset will only use 8-core Cortex-A53 of the 10-cores on Helio X20. While the 2-core Cortex-A72 will be switched off.

Helio X20 itself has begun to be mass produced. This chipset is the first to use 10-core design with tri-cluster consisting of 2x Cortex-A72 @ 2.5GHz, 4x @ 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 and Cortex-A53 4x @ 1.4GHz. This chipset supports LPDDR3 RAM and 4G LTE Cat.6.
