Facebook is reportedly preparing two major features that will be presented at his Messenger. Two new features that are multi-account and SMS.
Multi-account feature lets users open more than one account in one Messenger application. This feature does not require updating the application by the user, but directly active in the Messenger app users. But in order to work up his need to modify the server in order to support this feature
Another feature is the SMS, which allows users to send SMS without having to close the Messenger app. So that all can be done from a single application. This feature was initially only be available on Android, but the future will also be available on iOS. Reportedly SMS feature is being tested to multiple users.
To distinguish between SMS messages and Facebook chats, will apply a pattern of colors that can be changed.
