Snapdragon 820 & Exynos 8890 at the Samsung Galaxy S7 Use Second Generation 14nm Process Technology

Snapdragon 820 & Exynos 8890 at the Samsung Galaxy S7 Use Second Generation 14nm Process Technology - Samsung has announced a 14nm processor technology in the mass production of their chipset. The technology was used to make 820 Snapdragon chipset.

Through a press release, Samsung has just announced that the company is now using a second generation 14nm technology in the manufacture of mass chipset. In the same occasion also announced that Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset 820 is also produced using these technologies.

In addition to 820 Snapdragon, Samsung will use the same technology to mass produce its own chipset, the Exynos 8890. Both of these chipsets will be embedded into the Samsung Galaxy S7.
With the use of this technology, all phones that immerse Snapdragon 820 will have a performance that is 15% faster, but also 15% more power efficient than the first generation 14nm technology owned by Samsung.

There are already several candidates phones that will use Snapdragon 820 chipset made by Samsung is one of them is the Xiaomi Mi 5.
