Microsoft reportedly has just pull the cable in some older models of the Surface Pro. This is done to avoid the risk that the charger cable is to be avoided because of the potential to ignite the Surface Pro.
This was announced by Microsoft itself and will replace the cable with a new cable for free. The present cables that could potentially cause problems if the cable is wound, twisted or pinched during a certain period.
Although the potential to cause harm to users, but Microsoft's swift action should be appreciated. Moreover, so far there is no any negative reports related to Microsoft's Surface Pro.
To check the Surface Pro which one can get a replacement cord, Microsoft will launch a special website so that users can check it out.
