Solus 1.0 itself is an operating system built with the Linux distribution and the desktop environment itself which they called the Bayan. Bayan was made by the same team that made Solus 1.0. In contrast to most other Linux operating system that wants to do everything at once, Solus 1.0 was made to present a complete desktop experience, as reported by Softpedia, Sunday (12/27/2015).
Solus 1.0 is designed like a classical desktop with a clear design, but using modern backend, we hinted at the past and future at the same time. According to the developer, Budgie shipped with Applets, notifications and customization center called Raven. From here the user can easily access the calendar, media player controls, volume, management Applets, a wide selection of themes available, and many more.
Users can also get around the controls they need through the package manager named eopkg. Through this the user can install and remove applications, repo and look for package management. This operating system can run on a variety of modern hardware because it activates UEFI.
However given the operating system is still very new, of course there are still some problems that will be encountered users who will be corrected in the coming months. For example, Steam which requires a solution that can function in a non-Nvidia system, also proprietary AMD driver that does not support the version of the Linux kernel or Xorg above 3:19 over 1:17.
