Apple Makes Micro-LED screen at secret facilities in Taiwan - Apple touted a secret facility in Taiwan. The facility is used to working on a micro-LED panels that will compete with OLED screen.

Apple is reportedly developing a new LED display for use in their upcoming devices. Today, we get clarity on the screen. According to information, the screen that is currently being done by Apple is a micro-LED display.

Micro-LED display is currently being worked on Apple's secret factory in Taiwan. According to Digitimes reports, on Wednesday (12/16/2015) that the screen resolution is higher but also has a color gamut better. The energy generated is also more efficient. Interestingly, this screen can make Apple present products that are thinner because the screen is indeed thinner than LCD screens which they use.

Even so, is not without drawbacks. Micro-LED display is apparently the current through the manufacturing process by using a TFT (thin film transistor), yield unacceptable. This has hampered the process of mass production of the screen. To overcome this, Apple is currently developing further this screen so that the results obtained are better than ever, and able to compete with OLED screen.

Talk soial OLED display, renowned KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reveals that Apple is planning to switch from the LCD screen which they use on the iPhone to the OLED display in 2019 to come.
