South Korean media reported that in the year 2018 will probably be the Samsung OLED display supplier to Apple for use in the current generation iPhone. Samsung itself is not the first to supply OLED display, OLED display made by Samsung has been widely used in various devices made by Chinese manufacturers such as Huawei. It is not likely Samsung will be the supplier of OLED screens for the iPhone.
Not without a rival, Samsung will compete with LG to become a supplier for Apple's OLED screen. But this time the Samsung reportedly reached an agreement with Apple. The end result itself is not known at this time.
Although often collide in the patent war, but the cooperation between Samsung and Apple itself is often the case. Samsung produces most A9 chipset Apple used in the iPhone 6s and 6s iPhone Plus. Apple also supplies OLED screens for Apple Watch. It is not likely Samsung will supply OLED display back to the iPhone in 2018.
