Most of you may not know who the figure named Lucy Maud Montgomery, but for them the fond of his work, the name is already embedded in their minds. Lucy Maud Montgomery, a Canadian writer born in Clifton (now New London) 30 November 1874 which is famous for his writings in book form.

First time writing, he took Anne of Green Gables in 1908. It became debut as a writer and as a first novel that raise popularity. The novel is the story centers on Anne, an orphan girl.

From this work he made 20 other novel whose story is still centered on the character of Anne. In addition to novels, he also wrote 530 short stories, 500 poems and 30 essays. But he stopped writing novels about Anne in 1920. The reason, he was tired with the character of Anne. In the end he wrote another series of "Emily" (Emily of New Moon) and "Pat" (Pat of Silver Bush). Both works is indeed successful, but not as successful as Anne.
