About 20 years does not strengthen the production base, the original company Japan, Sony finally strengthen its production base by building the mill smartphones in Thailand. This new plant will be built in Pathum Thani, Thailand as reported by of the Xperia Blog, Tuesday (22/10/2015).
Sony already has the land to build a large production base there, but was forced to suspended because the deluge that hit Thailand in 2011. The factory was later able to produce several million smartphone units per year. Mentioned if Sony will invest billions of yen for mass production smartphones in fiscal year 2016.
Before this Chief Executive Kazuo Hirai said Sony, if he will give the opportunity for one year, i.e. by 2016 to see if Sony still deserved or not maintaining a business smartphone. If it doesn't turn a profit next year, then the alternative is option out of the mobile market.
With the building of a new factory in Thailand it seems Sony are very optimistic can improve the condition of the cell phone business next year. As it known when Sony suffered losses of USD 1.8 mliar operations for the fiscal year ending March 2015.
