Samsung Will Embed 6GB RAM on the Samsung Galaxy S7?

Based on the press release published recently by Samsung, South Korea's giant companies have announced that they have successfully made LPDDR4 12GB RAM, which allows Samsung makes smartphone with 6GB of RAM.

The RAM is used smartphone today is 4GB. This is the highest ever RAM embedded by manufacturers into phone product. But despite all the current operating systems (especially Android) do not need that much RAM, Samsung actually already planning to make a phone with this much in it.

This information came after Samsung released a press release announcing that the South Korean electronics giant has started mass producing 12GB RAM LPDDR4. Mentioned that by using LPDDR4 12GB RAM, a smartphone so it can have a 6GB RAM.

For those of you who are confused by the term stands for 'GB' and 'Gb', basically writing the "Gb" using the letter 'b' has the meaning Gigabit small. While the "GB" using the letter 'B' big is the abbreviation of Gigabyte. Because in a byte there are 8 bits, then a 12GB chip can hold up to 1.5GB of information. If the four chips are paired together, then Samsung can create a smartphone with 6GGB RAM.

Samsung also claims that they make smartphones using LPDDR4 12GB RAM is 30 percent faster than the smartphone using 8Gb chip. In addition, this smartphone also 20% more power efficient.

After previously being the first company to mass produce LPDDR4 8GB RAM in late 2014, now Samsung again be first in mass producing 12GB RAM chip LPDDR4. This RAM also will be paired in their flagship next most likely is the Samsung Galaxy S7. In this way, their next smartphone could be multitasking more smoothly and offer maximum performance in the latest operating system environment.

Of course, we are amazed by the fast motion of Samsung in presenting the latest technology. But what do you think? Do not put too much RAM to 6GB for a smartphone which is now of RAM that's not really necessary? Given smartphone with 6GB of RAM certainly will not be priced at an affordable price, at least will not be cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge that currently use LPDDR4 8Gb RAM.
