Officially announced, 820 Snapdragon Bring LTE-A & Quick Charge 3.0

Officially announced, 820 Snapdragon Bring LTE-A & Quick Charge 3.0 - Qualcomm chipset has just announced their latest high-end Snapdragon 820. This chipset is able to penetrate the higher data speeds thanks to LTE-A and bring the Quick Charge feature 3.0 which claimed 27% better.

We have heard some information about the new high-end chipset Qualcomm, Snapdragon 820 some of which are smartphones that will bring this chipset. Now, Qualcomm finally officially announced the newest chipset complete with detailed specifications.

In a special event held by Qualcomm, a semiconductor company revealed that Snapdragon 820 will offer LTE-Advanced (LTE X12) that is capable of supporting data access speed of up to 600Mbps download and 150Mbps upload (theoretical speed). In addition, the Snapdragon 820 also supports Wi-Fi connectivity with local 802.11ad next-gen, as reported by the GSM arena (09/15/2015).

In contrast to the high-end chipset that uses the previous Qualcomm Cortex core, Snapdragon 820 custom built using four cores Kyro with 64-bit architecture that is produced using Samsung's 14nm FinFET processing. This makes it more power efficient Snapdragon 820 despite also having high-speed performance.

Samsung Galaxy S7 also likely to be one of the smartphones that use this chipset, although Samsung must perform rigorous testing to put the chipset into several variants of Samsung Galaxy S7.

820 Snapdragon chipset integrated with Kyro CPU quad-core 64-bit is also integrated with the GPU Adreno 530 inside and 680 Hexagon DSP chipset which already supports OpenGL ES 3.1 and new Vulkan API. Adreno 530 also supports HDMI 2.0 up to 4K @ 60fps and 4K @ 30fps for video that is accessed wirelessly. This configuration also produces chipsets performing 40% better but at the same time also more efficient dayahingga 40%.

Reliability other than Snapdragon 820 will be distributed to the camera as this chipset already carry unit Spectra camera Image Signal Processor (ISP) that is able to handle pixel small cameras with better, autofocus hybrid, good performance for low lighting and optical zoom which is based on GPU. This chipset also supports fast charging technology that Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 which claimed 27% faster than the previous version (Quick Charge 2.0). With this technology, the battery can last longer.

In addition to 820 announced Snapdragon, Qualcomm also announced two other new chipset that is Snapdragn Snapdragon 617 and 430.
