Housed d Berlin, Germany, in the event trade show IFA 2015, Asus announced the second generation of smart watches their products, ZenWatch Asus Asus ZenWatch 2. Unlike the previous generation, Asus ZenWatch 2 this time comes with a lot more options.
Asus ZenWatch 2 offers two size options for consumers, whichever comes first variant brought 1.63 inch screen resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The size and resolution is the same as the first generation of Asus ZenWatch 2. While another variant comes with a smaller screen which is 1.45 inch 280 x 280 pixel resolution, as reported by PhoneArena (09/02/2015).
In terms of internal organs, Asus ZenWatch 2 brings Snapdragon 400 SoC containing a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU as a driver of performance was also supported by 512MB RAM LPDDR2. Smartwatch is also equipped with 4GB of internal storage and a 300mAh battery that promises endurance of up to 2.5 days in ambient mode. As for Asus ZenWatch 2 smaller variant with the same battery offers a longer lifetime in the same mode. Speaking of batteries, Asus uses a special magnetic connector that takes just 36 minutes to recharge the battery up to 50%.
Asus also scheduled two models Asus ZenWatch 2 is introduced to the market in October, which unfortunately is still not known which countries will be targeted to market Asus Asus ZenWatch 2. However the price, 1.67 inch models from Asus ZenWatch 2 sold for € 149. Meanwhile, smaller variant with a screen of 1.45 inches sold € 169. It seems quite odd indeed if a smaller variant is priced more expensive, but may put the battery life is longer.
